An award of considerable distinction that recognises excellence
in research in psychology. Value $1000, and the recipient is invited to
present the Sir Thomas Hunter Lecture at the NZPsS Conference in the year
following presentation. Offered biennially to Members.
Applicants must be Members of the Society for at least two years prior
to
application. Curriculum Vitae should be accompanied by two copies of
research published or accepted for publication within the past two years.
Applications must include the names of two referees who may be approached
by the Awards Committee.
Recognises valuable contributions to psychology in
the public interest. Value $1000. Offered biennially to Members.
Recognises the most notable contribution, in the Aotearoa/New Zealand context, to the development or enhancement of I/O Psychology through original research; dissemination of research and/or best practice; the sustained exemplary or innovative practice of I/O psychology; or the organization, supervision and/or mentoring of others. Value $1000. Offered biennially to Members.
Recognises the most valuable and significant contribution in any of the following areas: the philosophy of science; psychological theory; personality; cybernetics; cognition; perception; linguistics; and the use of multivariate statistical techniques. Value $500.

Applicants must be Members of the Society for at least two years prior
to
application. Two copies relevant books and papers published or accepted
for
publication within the last two years should be forwarded. Specialists
competent in the area of work of applicants may be consulted by the Awards
Committee.
Offered annually to Maori, post-graduate
(Masters or higher level Psychology degree) university students, to support
the completion of research which is Maori-centred and of use to the Maori
community. Current value $2000. Information is circulated through university
